A commuter spotted the brave calico weaving between cars on the A. Murray MacKay Bridge during rush hour. Franco lives in Elmsdale — over 40 km away. No one knows how he got there.

Franco was scooped up safely after drivers slowed to a crawl to protect him. He's now reunited with his very relieved family. Local rescuers are calling it 'one for the books.' Microchipping saved the day.

Stories like this are exactly why microchipping matters. Without it, Franco would likely have ended up in a shelter far from home. Please chip your cats — even strictly indoor ones. 🐾

I drive that bridge every day. The fact that strangers stopped traffic to save him says everything about this city. Welcome home, Franco! 🌉🐱
